heres some pictures of my new project. let me know what you guys think.
1990 iroc hardtop. l98, g92 , 3.23 gears etc. all original with a engine rebuild.
the car spent it's life in california until last june when the last owner bought it off ebay. i bought it off of him in florida during thanksgiving and drove it to my inlaws in savannah ga. where it is waiting for spring.
the body is perfect minus a bad repaint. the interior is very clean also. the car runs very good but not good enough which brings us to the last picture. it's a LS1 out of a 2002 trans am with 56000 miles.
i am planning on a t-56 trans. still have a few parts to buy but i am starting to collect alot for the swap. i have been doing alot of research for the swap. oroc has a very good post on here. so thanks oroc!

that should be a real fun car when you have it done.
Putting in the LS1 stock, or going to mod it first? |

i am planning on keeping it stock this year.(limited funds)
i paid 3750 for the iroc. the paintjob is horrible. it has runs etc. but the body is the cleanest i have seen. zero rust on this car. i have 90% of the parts i need for a swap now. thanks joel for fixing my account. |

sorry been awhile. went down to savannah ga to pick up the car on apr 17. got up and changed the oil, washed and fired her up. started right up and looked great.
Was on my way to visit with a friend before i hit the road to buffalo. i got about 3 miles down the road and out of nowhere a bmw pulls out of a side street and t bones me.
the car is totaled. bmw guy was citied with the accident. i have since settled with the insurance co. made out pretty good. i have enough to buy another iroc and i get to keep the wrecked one. i will have some nice parts for sale in a couple of weeks.
I have another lead on a iroc. it's a 1989 white ext and grey interior(same as the other one) with 67000 original miles. 5.7 and auto with t tops. very clean. i am going to pick it up next friday.
the wrecked iroc is getting dropped off at my inlaws. it was hit in the pass door and quarter panel. didn't look real bad. the rearend was displaced and the driveshaft was hanging. i am going to go down and get it in a couple of weeks. i will post some pics when i get them downloaded from my phone. heres a pic of the new one.

picked up the "new iroc" on friday. everything is original. a little rough around the edges but very nice just needs some tlc. iroc still has the factory cd player. car runs great. drove from toledo to buffalo and everything works.
after looking for both of these iroc's i have come to the conclusion that there are alot of shit 3rd gens out there. i am leaning towards not doing the LS1 swap and just keeping this one all original.
below are a couple of pics of the totaled iroc. a camaro guy in ga bought the car for parts.

| gave it some thought and decided to do the LS1 swap. i am going to wait until later this summer or until i get sick of driving a 350 tpi. still have a few items to buy and put the LS1 back together. once i start the swap i would like to get it done rather quickly. |
